Let's Go Down Memory Lane

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I've seen this on many other blogs and decided that I wanted to see what you would write about me. So, cough up the memories folks! If you so desire, you can write something about Doug, too. By the way, if I wrote a memory for you, I'm expecting one in return. I do know where to find you all!

Hmmm...now even though you skipped this post on my blog, I will leave a comment for you. :) (I hope you will do the same for me! I am so curious to know what your memory would be!)

As for me--well, a memory of Doug is when I asked him to the high school dance (MORP or something) and we all had matching t-shirts. The day before the dance I had nothing to wear--I mean NOTHING. So, I pulled out that shirt and wore it to school. Doug was in my class and we sat pretty close together on this particular day. I was SO humiliated because I didn't want him to see my shirt and know I wore it twice in a row--and especially that I wore it BEFORE the dance. Pretty embarrassing. :)

Now that I got that off my chest, I will share a memory about YOU! I remember when I first called you guys to talk about Philly--and I wondered if you would feel weird that I was talking to Doug...like I was some "other" woman since we went on a date in high school. :) HILARIOUS, right?

But when I met you I just thought you were so wonderful! Beautiful and fun, and the perfect person for Doug. I was so amazed with how cuddly you guys were and how it just FELT like you were really in love with each other...even after how many years of marriage?! :) jk! I am just still so impressed by you. You have so much to offer and share and I am just so darn glad to know ya!

let's see... Doug's memory of me was of getting into a huge fight in the kitchen (which i don't remember) however, i do remember one fight we had where I kicked him in the, well, you know, and he was curled up in the fetal position by the front door in immense pain, while i ran upstairs and locked myself in my room so that if he ever got the strength to stand back up, he wouldn't be able to come "get" me. We had the perfect stereo-typical brother sister relationship ; )

My memory of Mallena... I remember my mom, Melina, and I went to your Rexburg apt for a scrapbooking night and you had tons and tons of scrapbooking stickers and papers and markers and all sorts of amazing cool stuff...but hardly any scrapbook pages done! you said you weren't creative enough to scrapbook, yet you had piles upon piles of drawer fulls of cool stuff to use. i thought that was pretty funny. oh- and you were always watching The Ghost Whisperer!

Okay, so this is weird. I was looking at my cousin's (TJ Martin)blog to see if any of his siblings had blogs yet, and I stumbled across your blog. I graduated high school with Doug. My maiden name was Britnee Berrett. Anyway, I just thought I would share that bit of randomness :)

Well one thing that I will always remember about you that I have always enjoyed, when you and I are over at the Molens and the three of us sit around the table (while the kids run around crazy) and have our "therapy" sessions for hours. I always enjoy those, and go home feeling so much better!
You and Doug also have such great hearts and are always kind and thinking of others. I also adore your girls. I love Shays hugs and will miss them terribly!

Mallena, one memory I have of you is when we had a really good talk at school. You were being very cautious & I was being very hopeful that Doug would win you completely over! A more recent memory is of how much fun I had shopping at that craft store in N.J. with you & what a good sport Doug was being about it.

Doug, a couple of memories--you at age 2 1/2 calling out hello to some guy walking outside your bedroom window at 2 in the morning. Geez, you were always friendly. Another one was our trips to New York & Philadelphia sight seeing. You made me laugh with your comments & actions, especially at Penns Landing. Wow, I really miss you!!

Hi Mallena,
My memories of you all revolve around food and reminiscing about Idaho. You make the YUMMIEST rolls, bread, and other baked delights! I am so grateful for all of the times you've been so thoughtful to bring us meals without being asked to do so. Also, I love talking with you about Rexburg and how great it is. You've been a great friend to me. Thank You. --Shilowe
