Yea for Girl's Night!

I thought I'd share some more of my favorite dances. These are from past weeks, but there weren't any tonight that I absolutely loved. Maybe that's because I was too busy holding baby Sage and baby Oakley. Hee, hee!

I am not a fan of Twitch or Comfort OR the hip hop genera, unless it's some sort of sappy love routine. Well, I have to say, for some strange reason, I REALLY enjoyed this routine--even though it had all three of the previous things mentioned. What do you think?

In Case You Were Wondering

In case you were wondering, I am not related to the Andersen's that just had their baby. Those of you who are in the ward know this, but I realized anyone else looking at my blog might be confused by my previous maiden name. Well, maybe, the Andersen is spelled differently.

Anyway, my brother is going to have a baby next month, but they live in Utah and I won't be able to see that wee one for a little while. Hope that cleared any confusion. I would love to claim Sage as one of the family, but alas, I cannot.

When I went up earlier to check on the Andersen's Ryan was trying his hand at blogging. I'm anxiously waiting for a new post with PICTURES! Sage Elizabeth Andersen

SHE'S HERE!!!!

Sage Elizabeth Andersen entered the world around 4:00 this morning. The proud parents are doing well. I've never seen a dad so proud, and the mother is just as beautiful as ever.

Tricia and I went to the hospital so I've already been able to hold her. I know---LUCKY!

What were her stats? Well, here the are (I hope I have these right):

Weight: 7 lbs. 13 oz.
Length: 21 and something, maybe 1/2 in.
Hair: A little bit of blond
Looks: GORGEOUS and perfect in every way!

Emily is doing fine and will be coming home sometime tomorrow. Sorry I didn't get any pictures. I was too busy holding her and Tricia was busy getting Emily some pain meds. :) Long story....I'm sure someone else will explain more later. Tricia---go for it.

A Day of Posting

I haven't really posted anything lately. I like to post only once a day because then I'm more likely to get comments on each post as opposed to one comment for a million posts. Well, once I start blogging it's easier to just do it all and get caught up. I've found I just don't have the desire to post all the time. I have to be in the right mood, and when I get in that mood I'd better post. Well, today that mood came and here we are. I've tried to catch up on all of our comings and goings for the past few weeks. I included a TON of pictures, mostly for family, but if you like pictures then you're in for a treat. If you don't, well, you may want to stop reading now.

4th of July

We had a really low-key, yet fun-filled 4th. You'd think living in Philadelphia, the birthplace of it all, that we'd have done something really great and patriotic. Nope. All of us had issues with fun stomach bug the week before and since I was the last one to get better (July 3), nothing got planned. Thanks to Molen's, we had a fun BBQ with friends and then ended the night with sparklers. That's it, we didn't watch any fireworks (not even on television). We put the girls to bed and then Doug and I called it a night with a movie. It sounds kind of depressing, but we actually really had a nice day. It was one of the best 4th of July's I've ever had. I think part of that was because I was sooooooo grateful to be feeling better after being sick for a week. I was also 7 pounds lighter---that's always a nice way to celebrate a holiday!

My firecracker! Why is it that your husband is always at his hottest when he's doing things with your kids?

We did make it outside to take pictures and blow bubbles.

Shay refused to come home after blowing bubbles so Miriam went back to get her. She didn't like that Dad shut the door and left her in the hallway.

I wanted some fun candid shots of Miriam playing in the bushes. These show my lack of picture taking talents.

To this day I still don't like to hold sparklers. I'm not sure why, but I think my kids take after me. At least the other kids at the BBQ enjoyed them.

Swimming

We're lucky to have a pool at the complex where we live. I haven't utilized it much because both my kids are timid of the water. It's hard for me to hold both of them and still walk around in the water without slipping and going under. I don't have very good "water feet". I'd like to get in the habit of going, then maybe the girls would enjoy the water more and actually use their floats. This is the most you're ever going to see of me in a bathing suit so get your peek now.

Shay was wanting to be carried, but we were trying to get everything ready to go. She was NOT happy!
